– L.A. Weekly Magazine
The MLK Campus Farmers’ Market, in collaboration with the MLK Outpatient Center, serves a diverse customer base and continues to grow in both attendance and reputation as a market that is outstanding in the quality of the fresh food that is offered every Wednesday.
Located at the MLK Outpatient Center, the Market hosts approximately 5-7 local farmers as well as a variety of fresh food purveyors. The MLK Campus Farmers’ Market (formerly the Watts Healthy Farmers’ Market) is a leader in educating the neighborhood and community about healthy cooking and wise food choices. Every week, healthy cooking courses are held on-site as a part of the Pompea Smith Good Cooking/ Buena Cocina Nutrition Education Program.
At the market, you can use your CalFresh EBT card and WIC checks. Additionally, we offer Market Match which doubles CalFresh up to $10 per day. Stop by the information booth to receive your extra dollars to spend at the market!
The MLK Campus Farmers’ Market is held every Wednesday, rain or shine, from 9am-2pm, and is located at 1670 E. 120th st. Los Angeles, CA 90059.
