Annual WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program $20 coupons are back!
Eligible WIC participants will be issued WIC FMNP coupons in addition to their regular WIC benefits at participating locations. The coupons can be used to buy eligible food directly from our farmers’ markets. Pick up your WIC checks at our Echo Park or MLK Campus Farmers’ Markets below:
Bring the Farmer to Your School Summer Kids’ Cooking Class Series
The Bring the Farmer to Your School Program is offering free kids’ cooking classes at the Crenshaw and Echo Park Farmers’ Market this summer! The classes are free, hands-on, 1-hour classes on select dates.
Children ages 5 and up are invited to participate in learning basic cooking skills and tasting simple recipes they prepare under the guidance of a culinary nutritionist. Parents are encouraged to watch as their children experience the joy of fresh produce!
*Class is limited to 10 children. It is recommended to arrive at least 5 minutes early. In order to participate, you must be on-time in order to receive the pre-class instructions and sign a class waiver form.
