WIC CASH VALUE BENEFITS

DEDICATED TO IMPROVING ACCESS TO FRESH & LOCAL FOOD FOR ALL ANGELENOS.

Central Avenue Farmers Market and Echo Park Farmers Market both accept WIC Cash Value Benefits (CVB). When WIC shoppers bring their receipts to the information booth, they are eligible to receive a dollar-for-dollar match for fresh fruits and vegetables and can earn up to an additional $15/day. This match is made possible by Los Angeles County, American Rescue Plan (ARP) dollars.

All Food Access LA Markets are certified to take WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) checks from May until the end of November each year.

FMNP checks can be used to purchase:

  • fresh fruits

  • vegetables

  • herbs

  • honey (for seniors)

Select Food Access LA markets also offer an additional $20 match for fresh fruits and vegetables. This match is made possible by the California Department of Food and Agriculture and is available during the 2023 and 2024 FMNP seasons.

For information on WIC FMNP checks, please contact your local WIC office.

For information on Senior FMNP checks, please contact City of Los Angeles Department of Aging at (213) 482-7252. FMNP checks are typically distributed between May and July.
